Backup Plan(Windows only)

Backup ToGo can back up your computer data, you can filter the file types or choose the folder to be backed up by yourself. After creating a backup plan, Backup ToGo will did a complete backup of the selected data to your storage device. After first backups, Backup ToGo will only back up the changed data. It will helps reduce the time and space required for each scheduled backup.

You can setup schedules for the multiple backup plan, which is convenient for you to use it flexibly. Just select the backup plan of the target storage device on the left side of the main screen, and then press the [+] on the right side to start adding a new backup plan.

Step 1：Select contents

There are two ways to select the content to be included in the backup: "Basic" and "Advanced".

Basic

Click the check box to add the following non-system content:

All files All folders and files of local disk drive letter. (The external storage are not included.) Personal files User folder Documents Documents library Music Music library Pictures Pictures library Videos Videos library Downloads Downloads library Desktop The files on Desktop

Advance

To select content with greater control, click Advanced.

Step 2：Select the target drive

1. Click the target drive for your backup. 2. Once you’ve selected a device, click Next.

Step 3：Select the backup method

Real-time backup Changed files are backed up in real time, but there is no Time-Walker function support. Hourly backup Changed files are backed up every hour, and the time point of backup is recorded. It can support Time Walker function. Daily backup Changed files are backed up every day, and the time point of backup is recorded. It can support Time Walker function. Weekly backup Changed files are backed up every day, and the time point of backup is recorded. It can support Time Walker function. Monthly backup Changed files are backed up every month, and the time point of backup is recorded. It can support Time Walker function. Snapshot Backup immediately, without creating a backup plan. The time point of backup is recorded, it can support Time Walker function.

After a backup plan has been established

1. After the backup plan is established, you can also modify the backup plan, delete the backup plan, or execute the backup plan immediately. 2. After the backup plan is executed once, a record review option will be added.

Scheduel Backup

Backup ToGo will back up the selected contents at the time scheduled in the backup plan you have created. The conditions are as follows:

1. Your PC is on. 2. Your storage device is connected to the PC. 3. Backup ToGo is runnning.
